Local Chee Cheong Fun That You Need To Try In Penang

Completely different from the Cantonese Chee Cheong Fun, which is also known as the Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun, the Penang’s one is unique with its own version.

Unlike the Hong Kong style, which is often freshly made and stuffed with prawns, the Penang hawker version of Chee Cheong Fun is kept at a ready in a steamer. The main item of Penang Chee Cheong Fun is also steamed rice rolls, but mixed with prawn paste, sweet sauce and sprinkled with sesame.
